Hi guys, I wanted to ask, "Does anybody see anything good about the Aha Radio app?" What does it really do, beside slowing down and popping every now and then???

never used it, didn't know about it, although i might be interested if it plays "Take On Me" non-stop.

I don't see any advantage over SiriusXM, Alexa, Siri, or other apps. If anyone can explain the reason for using it, I'm "all ears". Maybe I'll explore further.

I know that, for streaming, I think HK is waaaay behind with this awful app. (I assume the only reason behind it, is that HK is a Fujifilm company.) The thing is that it's supposed to update the system, which, in my case, hasn't been done! But every time I get into either of my vehicles (Ascent or Crosstrek), it pops, and I believe it is delaying the Carplay takeover so I can listen to Spotify.

'Cause that's really not so much of a thing at this point (since like 2019) after they moved to making updates via both WiFI and USB memory stick available.
Thanks, Ill erase it right away!!!

If you know of a way to remove these unused, factory embedded apps, please let me know,

Thanks!

I believe you can just move them to a 2nd page on the home screen so they're out of the way.

Though I gave up on this after the layout randomly reset more than once. I'm on carplay 99% of the time anyway.

As you are rearranging apps, the trash can is on the bottom labeled delete or something like that. Just drag the app towards the bottom of the screen.

So the other good thing about it, is that you can use it as the conduit for firmware updates. Having the NAV, but no longer a NAV update subscription, I have 2 options, update via WI-FI with the car running in the driveway, or update while driving via the AHA app on my phone. So I would much rather download and update while I am driving. You don’t have to use the app to stream anything, just need to have the phone app open, and then on the radio settings page, check for updates.

Thanks for the tip, but when I looked for the android app, it seems to be a paid subscription service.
AHA app is not even available on the newer Android versions. Why is it even being included on Android Auto screen?

Good question. When I searched for the app on Google, the only thing I found was "AhA", with an accent over the "h", and it was from India and in Hindi. When I try to use it on the car's app screen it tells me to first open the app on my phone. Hmmm, hard to do. Seems like companies the size of Subaru, HK, Fuji, etc could keep a bit more up to date with their IT stuff. (n)

I did find this:

But it states "not available for your device" (I have a fairly new Galaxy A32), and it lists the last update as 2019.

As someone earlier suggested, put it on the 2nd page and forget about it.
My head unit never updates on WiFi.. and mine isn't a Nav unit so no DIY USB updates.

I can only update via Aha if I don't want to pay the dealer.

Mine isn’t nav either, and updates via wifi
When I had my 2019 the wifi update was a roll of the dice. It successfully updated 2-3 times over the years, but at a certain point, it would just give an error. I tried with my home wifi as well as my phone hotspot.
