Haven't reached double-digits yet, but we're working on it!!!! :smile_big:
Some of you probably recognize my screen-name from other Subaru communities. I've been on LegacyGT.com and .org since 2005, with my MY05 LGT (5MT, ECUTeK tuned by Tim Bailey). I've also been on NASIOC since that time (my wife's MY05 4AEAT WRX as well as her current vehicle, a '16 WRX CVT), SubaruForester.org (wife's '09 and '13 FXTs), SBT9.com (my '13 Tribeca) and SubaruOutback.org (my '16 OB). You can find me under either the handles "TSi+WRX" or "TSiWRX" on any of those Forums.
With the exception of my '05 LGT, we're a leasing family. I love working on cars myself, but since the little one was born, my wife's always been yelling at me about spending time on the car (my real wife)
, and leasing is just mindlessly convenient. With a 36 mo./36K lease, we give the car back just as it falls out of bumper-to-bumper coverage. Even for as reliable as our Subarus have been (we've had virtually ZERO major mechanical problems with our Subarus since 2005, the sole exception having been my wife's '09 FXT, which apparently didn't throw enough deposits to cause it to be pulled as a part of the "Stop Sale" from that time period: https://www.subaruforester.org/vbull...failure-62103/ - but our dealership as well as SoA took great care of us), we're still glad to trade a bit of money for the convenience and peace-of-mind.
Just last week, I put a deposit down on our 8th - my '19 Touring - and picked up the vehicle this past Saturday.

) and lease can view my post - https://www.ascentforums.com/forum/69161-post2.html ; for those who have questions about insurance rates, I was (pleasantly) surprised that even with lease pay-off, my premium increase was only $20 more, for the YEAR, than my '16 Outback 2.5i Limited ]
This is really the first vehicle I've ever had that I don't feel the need to upgrade the headlights on  . And I'm finally happy that Subaru's pretty much caught-up on the infotainment front, with both a responsive touch-screen and logical buttons, too. Sure, there's a few quirks (that RAB on/off and the weird tap-vs.-hold for the cruise speed adjustment), but I'm starting to get used to it.
I really haven't done much to the car. I wired in a V1/SAVVY - it's the first car I haven't hardwired in a long, long, long time - and have just started to play with V1 Connect. I likely will go with the V1Driver app once I've become a bit more used to this new detector: I've been a Bel/Escort user for over 20 years, so the switch is somewhat interesting. I'll probably eventually update to current LIDAR countermeasures at some point, too. The only other modification are a set of winter wheels/tires, but that's pretty much a pleasure purchase that's made out of necessity here in NE-Ohio.
Reading through all the Owners' Manuals/Quick Start Guides was a bit of a chore, but I'm a RTMFM type. :nerd: To balance out that tedious task is the pleasure I've had stocking this vehicle with our usual emergency supplies, which amazingly all fit in that nice little compartment in the hatch! The 19 cupholders is a bit overkill, but hey, I've got stuff!
I'm still trying to get used to the bigger vehicle (and did I complain about RAB already? :tango_face_wink
, but it really drives very much like my '13 Tribeca did, and I really grew to be very fond of that car, which was unexpected. I'm hoping that we'll see the same level of reliability, dependability, and durability with this Subaru as we've had our others.
The wifey is planning on getting another WRX when the lease on her '16 CVT is up this coming February. That will be our 9th!
Getting closer to that "10+" Badge.
