Taking ownership of my Ascent Premier (Canada) on Thursday. After weeks of test driving everything in the midsize + 3 row SUV market to chose the Ascent. It is replacing a 2008 Lexus RX350 which will go to my teenage sons.
Well I took ownership of vehicle 1 day ago. 290 kilometres later, I have to say I am very pleased with the Ascent. The interior looks great (brown leather, ivory leather trim and yes, the faux wood). I have done some highway driving along with narrow country roads. Ride is nice and handling was fine. The all-seasons on the vehicle performed OK in light snow and slush, but can't wait to get winter tires on tomorrow to see how it does when the snow falls again.
There is loads of space with the third row folded down and the three passengers were very comfortable, as was I. Infotainment is a breeze to use. Road noise is minimal and the 4 cylinder turbo will meet my needs.
