Almost looks like that guy is sitting in a front middle seat.
The chrome finish mirrors mean we are looking at a touring. I wish we would have gotten interior shots. I'm VERY curious to know how they changed up the interior styling of the touring and limited. I was not a fan of it before.

Also, Autumn Green Metallic Confirmed!!!! There was concern the color would be dropped as it was not mentioned in the color guide (I think), but this strongly suggests that is not the case. With this, I think it very likely the 2023 Ascent will get the same color options as the 2023 Outback.

I'm not so sure it's a Touring.

1) The lower front grille does NOT have the chrome trim around the bottom intakes like on a Touring.
2) Not sure the mirrors are chrome in the photos - they may be kind of matte silverish.

I think it may be a Limited.

That is a good point about the bellow the grill intake. Also, the handles and the window outline are not chrome like on the touring. However, those side mirrors are very much the "Satin Chrome" of the current touring (see image bellow). Personally I find it very strange that they would add the chrome side mirrors to the limited, but it seems more likely than that they removed those other three accents after already releasing product photos.

As a demo car, it may not fully match the final production car. So, they may have slapped the satin covers on the mirrors if the paint matched green were not available in time.

Thanks for the pictures! It’s probably one of test cars and not the official model trim with its package. I’m look at some fit and finish issue still exist! The fender over the front wheel is not tight enough!! You can still see the fender looks misaligned! I have that same issue with my 2020 Ascent. Other Makes have no problems making a tight fender… why is Subaru failing there?
Stuff like this is probably also why there are not more interior shots of the Touring trim. The interior of that one might not have been accurate to the final version and they didn't want to show it.

This is the limited trim View attachment 17763
The side chrome looks darker than I remember. Is it just the lighting or is it actually darker?
I think the 23 will be a great car, but I am so glad I was able to get a 22 Onyx before they cut off ordering them. There are things I just don't like about it. I really don't like the heater controls integrated into the touch screen, difficult to use while driving. The front bumper sticks out farther, and I just like the look of the 22.

The counter to that is that (and there was popular demand for it) the Onyx can be order a bit more upscale than for MY22 in the new MY23 configurations. A lot of folks found the look very appealing but were forced to do Limited or Touring to get some of the features they actually wanted/needed.

But if the MY22 as equipped is good for your needs, that was a good decision to get your order in when you did!

Likely just the lighting.
Huzah!!! No more beige interior accents! I'm excited to see how the other trims and interiors got redesigned. I'm hoping the touring just swapped those for the brown leather.

100% This! My wife and I are a foot apart in height and for our next vehicle memory seats are prerequisite. The onyx in its 2022 form was a no go despite us significantly preferring the styling. Though we would prefer the touring features, the 2023 Onyx now hits a high enough level that we could give up those extra features to match our styling preference. Basically, it looks like the Onyx can be specked up to match the limited.

Are you talking about the Ascent?

If so, it's confirmed to have both Wireless Carplay and Wireless Android Auto.

A new high-resolution 11.6-inch touchscreen is standard on every Ascent featuring wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™

Hi,
I just ordered my 2023 new color cosmic blue Ascent. I think the model year 19-22 fascia had an-outdated style since it was introduced! That’s why the other potential buyers weren’t interested in the Ascent.

No, I have a Touring and they are aluminum finish. Yes .But they are just a non shiny Grey finish.
