Just picked up a travel trailer the other week and the Ascent pulled it pretty good. I could definitely tell it was back there. I don’t have a lot of experience pulling something that heavy so it’s just a matter of getting use to it. I’m excited to get it out on the road and hit up some camping spots.

Those weights are well within the Ascent's towing capabilities, you chose well. Just monitor the tongue weight to ensure it never exceeds 500 lbs when the trailer is fully loaded. With a dry hitch weight of 378 lbs that gives you up to 122 lbs to work with which should be enough.

Also, be sure never to use a weight distributing hitch.

For more information, check the towing section of this forum which contains a wealth of information on towing with the Ascent.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have here, there are a lot of people who can help.
