Most of us probably have already realized that cruise control can only be set to 20mph at the lowest. ACC is awesome because if you’re following a vehicle below 20mph it’ll just maintain the gap to the vehicle ahead as slow as you need to go.
But what if there’s no vehicle to follow and you only want to drive 4mph? This came up for me during the opening weekend for lights at the beach. You get to drive on the boardwalk along the oceanfront and enjoy the light displays, but the next vehicle in front of me was a few hundred feet away so ACC was out of range. I remembered hill descent in X Mode can maintain speed also. So, I pressed the X Mode button at 4mph and even though there was no hill, it maintained the 4mph the whole time. Since I had less to be concerned with the lights were that much more enjoyable. Try it out sometime!
